So I'm sitting on the sofa, staring out of the window and all of a sudden I see the god damn Goodyear Blimp just meander past ...

Just crusin' by...

So I jump up shouting "BLIMP!" (much to the confusion of my family) run to grab my camera and I'm outta the house, in my socks with no shoes, front door wide open, running down the road shouting blimp while spamming the shutter button.

I had no idea they operated Goodyear blimps outside the US at all. I thought that was just something we silly Americans did.

Glad to hear we aren't the only ones that get excited to see it though.

It is a fun thing to see just appear out of nowhere

Yep :D Keep a lookout as it probably operates out of an airfield near you. It spends most of its time around Manchester, Birmingham and London.

I had been running around for about 5 mins before this shot. It had been going the other way to begin with.

But yeah ... a lot of luck get this right. There's about 6 frames before where it's sliding into place framed with the cloud.

i love the way the cloud "frames" the blimp.... well taken, even if rushed.
